Admissions

cr

Crossroads School is currently accepting enrollment applications for students between the ages of 3-11 who are diagnosed with autism and/or other related developmental disabilities.

  • Students are referred for admissions throughout the school year by the local public school district in which he or she is currently enrolled.
  • The Case Manager assigned to the student is required to submit a copy of current educational records, including all CST evaluations and the most recent Individualized Educational Plan (IEP).
  • All educational records are reviewed by a multi-disciplinary admissions committee at Crossroads School and appropriate candidates are invited to participate in an intake appointment.
  • The intake appointment is attended by the student along with his or her parents/guardians and Case Manager. The appointment includes a tour, explanation of the program and discussion of the student’s history. Crossroads School staff also conduct an informal diagnostic assessment to determine the student’s present levels of functioning.
  • An admission decision is made and the Case Manager notified in writing typically within 48-hours of the intake appointment.
  • Acceptance is based on the ability to meet the cognitive, communication, social and emotional needs of the student along with the availability of a suitable classroom placement.
  • Crossroads School does not exclude students on the basis of sex, race, religion, color, or national origin.

We thank you for your interest and invite you to contact us to schedule a tour or obtain additional information about the many innovative programs available to students at Crossroads School.
