Welcome to the Crossroads School.  My name is Matthew Fernandez, and I am very excited to be joining the Union County Educational Services Commission in the role of principal.

Crossroads School is an innovative public school for children between the ages of 3-14 with Autism Spectrum Disorder focused on the development of sensory integration, communication, socialization, and problem solving skills.  Crossroads School prioritizes communication, socialization, and independence across all disciplines. The integration of the principles of applied behavior analysis is integral to the success of our students, and helps guide our staff to make best practice decisions.

As per our mission, Crossroads School is committed to providing our overall school community with rigorous instruction, community based field experiences, and a collaborative approach in providing learning goals for each child in a differentiated way.  Each student’s program is individualized to meet their specific learning style to promote the development of skills.

The Crossroads School team prides itself on fostering a warm and inviting environment that encourages collaboration between staff, families, and districts.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions that you may have.  I look forward to working with you and am excited about all we will achieve together in the future.
